Keyboard Shortcuts

Here are my favorite shortcuts for Firefox.

Keyboard shortcuts are shown for different Operating Systems, where appropriate. If no OS is listed, then keyboard shortcut should apply to all OSs.

Key	OS	Function
Command+1,2,3 etc	Mac	Takes you to tab 1,2,3 etc. Very Handy if you have a gazillion tabs open
Alt+1,2,3	Linux
/ or Ctrl+F		Initiates the search feature. Press `/` and type a few letters, and firefox starts searching
Ctrl + J		Puts the cursor on the Search Box on the top right of Firefox.
